2026 Bill Grout Memorial Scholarship Application

College Freshman Form

Magic Valley Antique Tractor Pullers was founded in 1989 to promote the restoration, show, and pulling of antique tractors. The club has since grown to include stationary engines and farm equipment. Annual shows and pulls are held at the Twin Falls, Jerome, Minidoka, and Shoshone County Fairs and the I-FARM in Jerome County. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the past of agriculture.


This scholarship is available for $500.00

Eligibility Requirements

  1. College Freshman pursuing an Agriculture (E.g., Animal Science, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Food Science, Ag Business, Bio Engineering, Ag Education, Forestry, Natural Resources, Ag Engineering and Automation, etc.) or Mechanics Major (E.g., Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanic, Welding, HVAC/Refrigeration, Electronics Repair, etc.) at a College or Technical School in Idaho or adjacent states (WA, OR, MT, NV, UT, WY.)

  2. Applicant must have a 2.5 or better GPA (grade point average) on a 4.0 scale, verified by an official High School Transcript.

  3. Resident of the Magic Valley region of Idaho.


    **MVATP members and applicants planning to attend any college or technical school in Idaho will be given precedence over those planning to attend schools in adjoining states.

Please include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer and an official college transcript attesting to grade point average.

Closing date for applications will be January 31, 2026.

Hardcopy submissions must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2026

The scholarships will be reviewed at the February board meeting, and the winner(s) will be asked to attend the club meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 7:30 pm to receive the award.  The scholarship committee reserves the right to interview candidates.
